12.75 lbs Pale 2-row Malt
.75 lbs Munich Malt
1 lb Crystal 20L
.25 lb Crystal 40L
1 oz Magnum pellet hops (14.4%AA)(60 min)
1 oz Centennial pellet hops (8.5%AA)(10 min)
1 oz Simcoe pellet hops (12.7%AA)(5 min)
1 oz Amarillo pellet hops (8.5%AA)(flameout)
1 tsp Irish Moss (10 min)
2 packets Nottingham Ale Yeast
- Strike crushed grains with 19 quarts 160F water.  Hold 149F for 1 hour.
- Sparge to 7.5 gallons.
- Boil 1 hour, hopping per schedule.
- Brewed 1 August 2009.  OG ~1.072 (~82% eff)
- Kegged 30 September 2009.  Cloudy--would
probably benefit from filtration.  Very hoppy;
citrus/grapefruit.  Seems to focus on aroma &
flavor.  Bittering isn't over the top, so the hop
schedule worked.  Probably too hoppy for most,
but very nice.
