9.5 lbs Golden Promise Pale 2-row Malt
1 lb Crystal 40L
.5 lb Munich Malt
.5 lb Honey Malt
.25 lb Crystal 120L
3 oz Pale Chocolate Malt
22g Kent Goldings pellet hops (5%AA)(60 min)
1 tsp Irish Moss (15 min)
1 liter starter WLP-001 California Ale Yeast
- Strike crushed grains with 17 quarts 160F water.  Hold 148F for 15 minutes.
- Boil one hour, hopping as indicated.
- Chill wort, then pitch yeast.
- Brewed 21 November 2009.  OG: 1.058 (79% eff)

- Add 8 quarts boiling water.  Hold 157F for 45 minutes.
- Add 5 quarts boiling water.  Mash-out at 170F for 10 minutes.
- Sparge with boiling water to 8 gallons.
